(I used my wife's account to order this helo - hence I am NOT Delailah). I have flown R/C aircraft in the past. I build them as well. Prior to this, I built dozens of scale plastic helicopters, ships, and submarines. For me, if the R/C helicopter/aircraft does not look real, then I do not even bother with it. I am a physician now with 3 small kids so I have very limited time. I cannot spend 5 hours a night building an R/C airplane. I bought the helicopter for a science museum I am going to create in the Philippines to show kids engineering principles. I am VERY SATISFIED with this helicopter. It looks scale with its flat olive drab finish, it has panelling and rivet details, and really nice looking lights that give it a scale appearance when flying in a semi-dark room. It has a little more inertia than the small helicopters (the ones that fit in your hand), but is just as stable - if not more stable. In general, the larger a scale model aircraft is, the more stable its flight characteristics. I have purchased several R/C kits from the department stores because I wanted to show my kids how to fly airplanes without spending hundreds of dollars. Sadly, they all were underpowered and crashed. This helicopter has plenty of power, is stable, and FUN to fly even for R/C pilots who have flown piston-type 2 stroke/4 stroke engine aircraft. I love it, and I can't wait to display it in flight in my Philippine science museum!

this product would be a great buy if it were put together with stability and durability instead of being cheaply made.when i got it the side pods were loose and one of the transmitters switches was inside the transmitter and would not stay in position.even after opening it up and trying to secure it.i have been flying for several years now and the biggest complaint i have is the construction and quality of these products, not everyone can afford to spend 500-1000 dollars on a RC helicopter,if the makers of these products would put in some quality instead of mass producing junk i would not have to write bad reviews,this goes from the motors to the landing gear,battery life to the transmitters.but i guess everyone wants to make as much money as they can without taking into consideration if you produce a good product then the word will surely get around that hey this is a product that i would'nt mind buying.instead of guessing and taking chances.and for the most part you have to buy extra everything and sometimes it's not always available period.and i know that wheather you're a weekend flyer or a diehard flyer you would love to have a product that can last under normal conditions of wear and tear instead of after a few flights your helicopter is reserved to the shelf or the garbage can.that is the most frustrating part.most of people's reviews that i have read can echo what i'm saying.i would never recommend this product period..
