It's a 4-Channel Toy for Boys! The latest 2011 version, equipped with a 4-in-1 infra-red receiver (Gyro, ESC, Mixer, Receiver). The biggest difference between the Drift King and other palm size toys is that the Drift King is a 4-Channel heli, it can go sideways which other models cannot. This one is rockin Hard to fly at first, but when you learn how, it is AWESOME, and friggin FAST! The lights are really cool also, BUT, and this isn't in the manual, LET YOUR BATTERY COOL DOWN AFTER FLYING IT AND CHARGING IT! (about 10-15 min, I own a few others to pass the time) Otherwise I give it a few weeks before it is just hovering on the ground.

This is one beast of a chopper! I originally had the Syma 107 to start... LOVED IT ALSO! It was great to learn with at first. I have had several Syma 107s, and loved them all. This Heli takes it to the next level. It is quite a bit faster than the S107. The battery seems to last longer as well. Most S107s have a stock 150ma battery, the Drift Kings I have have a 200ma battery in them.
My charger for the Drift King Started charging less and less. (I thought the battery life had ended) I took a chance and used my charger for my S107 for it. It charged it. Worked like new again. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR ANYONE TO COPY. I was able to check the voltages on the LiPO batteries while they were charging.
The 4th channel on the Drift King allows it to shimmy sideways, and other combinations as well. They take mild to moderate abuse and still fly. They also have an "accel" button which I finally was able to test out faster flying. They travel so fast across the room it is hard to use at all in my area. It's twice as fast as the S107 forward and faster by half in reverse.
One thing I feel I should mention also, The landing Gear are easily broken. Its curved and thin, so a moderate impact will break them. So be ready to order more, or use repaired ones.
The lights can be remotely turned off and on. There is 5 total. (1 front white...non flashing)(2 flashing red, blue, green,yellow in alternating patterns. They are bright.
