Remote unit did not work initially due to a loose wire. Also the battery only held a charge for approximately 3 minutes. I suspect I may have recieved a previously returned unit because most people who purchased this product were quite happy according to the reviews. Unfortunately this is not the first remote helicopter model I have purchased that was a disappointment in quality or durability so now I'm a little gun shy on buying another for my husband.
It arrived today. I'll give it 2 stars just because it's fun setting it up. I'll add to this review as I go. Right now I'm just going to say it's a cool looking heli. I'll add more after I get it flying. The TX doesn't like rechargable batteries so I had to put 6 regular batteries in it. UGH! I hate throw aways. We have enough trash in the landfill. It does come with a wall charger so I plug it into the inverter from my solar panels.
1. So far I've charged it twice. Charges quickly with wall charger. I took it outside to try and trim it. Absolutely no wind today. Good thing. It doesn't look as if it would like wind. Have it on charge again. I hope it trims out ok. Right now it's flying helter skelter. I really like this heli. If not I 'm sure they will send me another. Amazon is great that way and besides things happen, not every item is perfect right out of the box. I discovered the reason it flies wonky. There is a little connecting buckle missing on the lower rotor. I emailed the seller and told them. Not sure what will happen next.
