Customer Reviews
The Balance Bar (FlyBar)is a very important part of the heli to keep it stable. Keep it straight and you'll enjoy flying the heli that it's attached to. Visual inspection is not enough... you need to remove it to inspect it properly and do corrections. If you noticed that the heli is harder to control than the usual... more than likely it because the Flybar is bent. Have two or three for your heli if you want to get back to flying immediately after a crash, then you can straighten the bent flybar(s) later on.
It's been month or so since I bought my RC9100 copter. I've banged it up pretty hard and have had to replace many parts. Some parts more that once or twice. I have super glued and hot glued in areas that were not critical to flight. I've used skewer sticks to replace the decoration rods on the tail rotor. Just take some short pieces of plastic coffee stirs, flatten the end and add a hole. Slide in the skewer cut to the right length and screw in place.Paint the skewer if you want. Lot of tricks to get by until your new order comes in and then if you want you can replace to original.
Well, I was flying one evening, calm (no wind) and it dropped to the ground. Nothing I did had caused this. It landed hard onto it's side.Brushed it off and hand launched it again. The "Balance Bar" went sailing ahead of the copter. Yep, broke another part, but I have had much harder hits from roof crashes and trees. Let not forget the power line. All these other crashes and the bar always survived. Guess it was time for it to break. I tinkered with the old bar and managed to get it back working, but I decided to order a new RC9100 "Balance Bar" 9100-01 thru Amazon. I had a new bar in a couple of days. I didn't put it on right away because my old bar was still working. Eventually I installed the new bar and it's working fine. Let's not forget the precision that go into these parts. They would probably last and last if only we could avoid these sudden crashes. "Keeping it flying" is part of the fun for me.
